Part 451: Upon Arrival

9:38 am

Jack jolted awake as the van came to an abrupt stop. They had a bag over his head the whole time, so he had no idea where he was and the shock attack made him disoriented to the point where he also didn’t know how long it took to get from Sharp’s Crossing to wherever he was. He then felt hands grab him around his arms and pull him up. The sound of a sliding van door opened and he was shoved out. The men who kidnapped him began to escort him across a concrete hallway. He knew it was a hallway because their footfalls echoed across the beams. He heard even more footfalls but couldn’t tell what was going on because of the black bag around his head.

He was stopped shortly after exiting the van. Jack could hear muffled voices through the bag. Something told him calling for help would be pointless. However, he was beyond confused at that point; considering he had no idea what this was about. Any logical person would have believe it was about Kate but they were just clinging to old paranoia. John told him this mysterious hacker called The Matador erased Kate’s file from the Federal Database. She was, in essence, born again. So whoever these people were would not have known about her.

Jack then heard a sliding door, like an elevator open. He was then shoved forward, along with three other men. He heard more men getting into the elevator with him. The doctor stood there, trying to use his other senses to determine what was going on. He heard multiple things from the men standing with him. He heard things like, parking lot, too much running and had to detonate someone. Jack cursed himself, not realizing how much he took sight for granted. He understood completely how Tony operated now. Someone then bumped him to the side. Jack then became curious because what bumped him was a shoulder and judging by it’s height; it was a young woman. The doctor then felt a scent erupt into his nostrils. Faint but he was able to recognize it. It was D & G Light Blue by Dolce and Gabbana, the Jasmine scent. The reason he was able to recognize because it was one of the favorite perfumes that his ex-wife Sarah always wore.

And she would always buy it as a Christmas present for one other person.

“Mei mei?” Jack asked.

“JACK!!” Jenny screamed abruptly.

“Jenny, are you near me?” the doctor then abruptly said, “I can’t see!”

“SHUT UP, BOTH OF YOU!!!” one of the soldiers said.

Jack then did the only thing he knew to do; he quickly threw his body in the direction of the voice. The man grunted as he was shoved against the elevator wall. Jack managed to lift his knee into the man’s crotch, nailing a solid hit. Shortly thereafter he receive a surge of electricity into his gut. The doctor gritted his teeth as he was being slammed by the cattle prod. He collapsed on the ground; feeling a small amount of vomit into his mouth. “JACK!!” Jenny said, collapsing on his knees, “Are you all right? I can’t see you, Jack!”

“Jenny,” was all he managed to say.

The young woman then collapsed onto him. He rolled toward her and she fell onto him crying. It was the closing attempt they could make to hold each other, during this moment of stress. Then the elevator door came open. The men picked up Jenny from off her brother and began to drag him away. “JACCCCKKK!!!!” Jenny screamed under her mask.

Jack couldn’t answer. He already past out from his second taser assault. Jenny tried to fight the men that were carrying her down a hall way in the opposite direction. The blonde cop grunted; knowing full well if she were to split her bonds, she could slaughter the lot of them. She then heard a door opening and she was slid into it. The soldiers grunted as they forced her into a chair. Jenny felt them cutting the duct tape that bound her hands. The moment she was going to be free, she would tear them apart. She never got the chance as they shoved a taser in her back. The blonde cop jerked from the pain briefly and felt like she was going to vomit. As a result, she was too week to battle them out. Within moments, they had her secure to the chair, and finally, removed the black bag over her head.

Jenny took a deep breath. The room she was in looked like an interrogation room. It was completely covered in off white paint and no decorations. A big mirror was in the background, which she knew from her lifestyle as a cop, that other people were behind it. The soldiers that brought her here, finally left and then someone else came in. It was an older black woman that had the disposition of a doctor. It wasn’t just her lap coat, it was the way she handled herself when she walked. “Good morning, Officer Baker,” she smiled, “My name is Bea Klugh.”

“Where is Jack?” Jenny immediately said.

“Don’t worry about him. He’s on his way to talk to another co-worker of mine. In the meantime, you are and I are going to be very well acquainted.”

“What is this place?” the blonde woman grunted, “Why was I brought here? WHY DID YOU HAVE TO KILL RAVEN???”

“Please, calm down,” the black woman held up her hand, “It wasn’t my indention to kill Raven. The one known as Karl jumped the gun and he will pay for that.”

“Karl said . . ..he said . . .he detonated him.” Jenny said, trying to calm down, “What does that mean?”

“It means he activated the poison capsule in his stomach. The failsafe to keep all Jaeger Units in line.” She raised an eyebrow, “Surely Raven told you about this?”

Jenny paused for a moment. She knew about the poison capsule all too well; Raven activated it to end his suffering and the suffering of all the Jaeger Units back on the Island. She held onto him as he died. Then the Watchman computer gave him a rebirth when they needed him the most. She never would have realized that Watchman placed another poison capsule in his stomach. Or did he? It didn’t make logical sense to her for another capsule to be placed there. Why would Watchman need to keep a Security System in line? They all obeyed his orders just fine. Jenny decided to keep up appearances and let them believe they had beaten her; just to continue to understand what was happening. “Yeah,” she sniffed, pretending to cry, “He mentioned it.”

“Like I said, I am sorry,” Bea whispered, pulling out a small tape recorder, “ I was hoping to be discussing particulars with Raven right now but sadly, I’ll have to do that on an autopsy table.”

“Then why are you talking to me?”

“Because everything I wanted to learn about Raven, you are going to tell me.”

Jenny glared at the woman with complete contempt. “No, I don’ t think so.” She grunted.

Bea raised an eyebrow like a teacher who has just been back-talked. “Excuse me?” she replied.

“I’m not telling you anything about Raven.” The cop hissed, “This is kidnapping and I’ve been in the police business long enough to know that if I give you what you want, you’ll kill me. SO PISS OFF!!!”

“Officer Baker, don’t think of us in such barbaric terms. What would be gained from us killing you? Nothing. Besides, if necessary I can make you talk and I honestly don’t want to go that route.”

“If you hurt Jack, I swear to God I will kill you.”

“Jack is in going to be in fine hands. I was referring to you.”

Bea then pressed a button on a control panel on the table. Jenny then felt electricity surging through her. She tried to scream but the energy pulsing through her body forced her teeth clamped shut. She then coughed as it was over before it began. Bea sighed and crossed her arms. “All I want is some information, Officer Baker. He’s already dead so I am going to find it out anyway,” she exhaled deeply, “You can simply save me some time.”

“Go . . . spit . . .” Jenny coughed.

“Please, tell me . . .how did he arrive in America?”

“I said, go spit.” The cop repeated.

“Did he swim or did he fly? Why did he come for you? What is your connection?”

“Are you deaf?” Jenny leaned up, “I ain’t tell you anything-“

Jenny then managed to scream as another surge of electricity was sent through her spine. She jerked left and right, feeling like her ear drums were threatening to explode. After it was over, she stopped and coughed again. She felt sick, like she could throw up at any moment. Bea rubbed her neck and leaned forward. “I’ll make you a deal, Jenny.” She whispered.

“Better than what you are giving me already?” the cop laughed a bit.

“You tell me what I want to know about Raven,” the scientist whispered, “And I will tell you what I know about Raven.”

“You don’t know anything about him.”

“On the contrary, I do. I know who he is.”

Jenny then stopped coughing and looked at her. The officer felt her heart sink over the prospect that this evil woman knew who Rave really was. However, she wasn’t too easily to believe such beautiful things thrown at her. “You’re lying.” She whispered.

“No, I am not.” Bea smiled slightly, “I know who he is. I know where he is from. And maybe if you have those pieces of information . . .maybe you can figure out why he adores you so.”

“You bitch,” Jenny hissed, “He adores me because we have a connection. I wouldn’t expect a low life like you to understand that.”

“We’ll see,” Bea said, standing up, “I’ll give you an hour to think about it. Please . .make the right decision.”

Jenny watched as the black woman left the room. The cop didn’t know what to make of all this. She knew for a fact that the only reason she was kidnapped and ask question about Raven was that these people worked for Dharma. Was Penelope behind this? Was she bitter about Jenny nearly exposing the company from that rogue Jaeger Unit? She didn’t know. She only prayed Jack was okay.

And she had one hour to figure out what to do with Bea Klugh.
