Part 94: The Fight for John Part 2
Jenny ran hard through the jungle with Martin right behind her. She knew their were at least two chasing them. She thought it would be better to lead them away from Tony and McKay, allowing them to get to John even quicker. The teenager had to make sure they could survive the next few minutes.
Then one of the lost boys leaped from a nearby tree, and landed between Martin and Jenny. The black man stopped while the young man pulled out his short sword and began to twirl it into the air around him. Martin quickly pulled out his own and they began their duel. The black man kept swinging his sword but the lost boy dodged them with ease. “MAKE A MOVE, SON!” he screamed as he swung the sword, “C’MON! I DARE YOU, BOY! I GOT YOUR NAME! I GOT YOUR ASS!”
Jenny stared with a wild eyes, wondering why Martin screamed when he was fighting. Must be a macho thing, she thought. Then she felt the wind current changing behind her. She quickly ducked as a second Lost Boy came at her with a sword. He swung it around again and she dodged it. He swung and swung, and began to foam at the mouth over the fact he couldn’t hit the girl. Then he swung the sword near a tree, making it stick. Jenny immediately took this moment to strike. The boy reeled from the blows as the young Jeet Kune Do blackbelt managed to deliver 15 blows in 3 seconds. Then she flung up and dropped kicked him across the face. The lost boy went spinning, shooting blood from his nose.
The moment he landed, Jenny thrust both feet against his chest. It was a maneuver she was taught but she never had the need to pull it off. She quickly twisted her shoes in an abrupt manner and it worked; hearing the boy’s ribs break. He gagged on blood as she jumped off of him. Jenny quickly checked on Martin.
The black man was then at fist-it-cuffs with the lost boy. They both had each other by the throats, hitting each other in the face. Martin grunted as his eyes were hurting and his nose was bloodied. The black man then grabbed the boy, and shoved his knee into the teenager’s sternum. He reeled slightly, and swung his fist, giving Martin an upper cut. The black man jumped two feet and then fell down abruptly. Before the lost boy could finish off his opponent, he was flung five feet to the side as Jenny’s foot connected with his back.
He got up, screaming; running toward her. She held her ground. As he tried to grab her, she quickly grabbed his wrist and shifted her whole body around; making him flip over and landing on his stomach. She then shifted his arm around backwards. Jenny grunted as he pushed his wrist down with hand and pushed his elbow inward. Within seconds, the pressure made the arm snap. The boy screamed as she let go of his arm, allowing it to drop limp onto the ground.
Jenny ran over and grabbed Martin, helping him up. The two friends ran into the jungle, leaving the screaming lost boys behind. Martin had his arm around Jenny’s shoulder, as she guided him through the darkness of the jungle. The black man was having difficulty seeing as one of his eyes was swelling up. He couldn’t breathe through his nose as it was filled with blood. “Did we get them?” he coughed.
“We got’em, Marty,” Jenny said, helping him along.
“Next time I am in a dark alley, “he chuckled, “Remind me to make sure YOU’RE with me.”
“That’s cool,” she giggled as they continued to run.
--------------------------------------------------,
Seth and Brendon ran through the jungle, cutting through branches and bushes. They heard the voices of the savage teenagers surrounding them. The Asian man knew of a way to stop them but it was a technique he was used to. Gorilla warfare. “Seth, keep running!” Brendon said, “I am right behind you!”
“Okay!” He replied.
Seth didn’t want to argue with Brendon. If he was going to suggest they split, he trusted him enough to know it was probably going to help them. The young bookstore worker continued to run, as his friend disappeared into the darkness.
Brendon bent lows as he scooted across the ground. He could hear the running the jungle. His friend was heading into the opposite direction while someone was fast approaching them from behind. The Asian man bent lowers and waited. Then he saw one lost boy running toward where they were. The moment he past, Brendon leaped out and struck him across the back.
The lost boy screamed and turned around. By the time he turned, Brendon swung his sword down in two fluid motions. The boy jerked as his neck exploded in a spray of blood from both corners of his neck. The young Asian stood there while the wild member of Black Faction dropped dead at his feet.
Brendon wiped the blood from his sword. He held no remorse for killing the boy; he was surely going to kill Seth. Last time he killed for revenge ; this time it was a matter of survival. The young Asian man then ran back into the jungle to see if he could deal with any other before his friends had to.
Seth grunted as he continued to run. He stopped for a second, looking back. He saw Brendon nowhere in sight. He was at that moment alone. Seth breathe through his nose, flinging the sweat into the air that was dripping from it’s bridge. He wondered what he should do. Should he turn back? Or should he keep going forward, leading them away from the others? Then he jerked as a gun was fired, and the bullet exploded in a tree next to him.
Behind him he heard a high-pitched scream, and bullets coming at him from the darkness. He turned toward the scream and proceeded to fire. His guns’ breach chocked back and forth sending bullet after bullet toward the sound. Then Seth heard a loud smack and the screaming was stopped. Then a girl from Black Faction emerged from the shadows, holding the area of her chest just before the end of her neck. She was running so hard she collapsed onto Seth.
The young man screamed as both of them fell back. The girl was limp; killed by his gunfire. He stared at the girl for a second, then shoved her off of him. He caught his breath. He killed her! HE KILLED HER!! Seth then shook his head from right to left as hard as he could, feeling his brain shake inside his skull. FOCUS, YOU MORON! IT WAS EITHER YOU OR HER!!! Seth grunted after getting his thoughts back. He hoped God would forgive him for taking the girls life. Perhaps he would understand that he had to do it; cause he was fighting for his own.
Seth jumped up and ran into the darkness to make sure his friends were okay.
