Part 232: Jenny Versus Texas

Jack tried to get away from Texas but the man was almost as fast as he was huge. He delivered another blow to the doctor’s sternum, flying him three feet into the air. Jack grabbed a rock and threw it at him, striking him in the eye. The albino grunted, as the pain finally hurt him. He then back handed Jack, making the doctor spit blood into the air. He grunted as he landed hard onto the dirty ground. Jack coughed, spitting blood onto the dirt. He then felt Texas hoisted him up and then plant his massive hand around his throat. The albino growled as he lifted Jack up off the ground, choking him.

Jack tried to remain awake but it was getting difficult. He knew the blood cells were losing oxygen toward his brain and eventually it would cause the brain to shut down; to die. He smirked a little as he never imagined he would give himself a diaognosis in his final moment. A sadness washed over him, as he wanted to tell Kate so many things. He wanted to tell her he didn’t care what she did; just that she didn’t leave him. He wanted to tell her about all his triumphs and failures. The blackness began to cover his eyes. Jack smirked again; for a second he could have heard Jenny calling his name.

Or was it Sarah’s?

. . . . . . . ………………………………………….

“JACK!” Sarah waved in the crowd.

The doctor did his best to excuse himself as he shoved through the droves of parents who were sitting in uncomfortable chairs in the gym. Sarah stood up and removed her purse from the chair next to her. Jack sat down in a huff, finally finishing tying his tie. “You’re late.” She smirked and grunted at the same time.

“Couldn’t be helped, Sarah,” he smiled, gasping, “There was a lady in the ER who coded three times. I had to make sure she was alive before I left.”

“Heart attack?”

“Brought on by a car wreck,” Jack sighed, “Damn shame.”

“OH!” Sarah squeaked, “There she is!”

On the platform above, Jack heard the announcer call Jenny’s name. The young girl was no more than 12 years old and accomplished martial artist at that time. She strode out toward the middle of the stage where three cinder blocks were waiting for her. She walked out to it and studied it. She felt it with her hand, then backed off, pointing it. “She has requested another cinder block!” the announcer said.

Sarah stood up and took a picture of the two men who brought over another cinder block and placed it on the third. “She’s going to go for four!” the woman giggled, “That will make her in first place for her age bracket!”

“Can she really break four of those?” Jack stared in disbelief.

“If my Jenny thinks she can do it, she can do it.”

“But . . she’s so small.” The doctor pointed out.

“Jeet Kune Do trains it’s students to precise and effeciant impact.” His wife said, while she took a picture, “Even though she his probably just shy of 110, she has been trained to deliver all the force into her hand. It’s the equlivilant of 800 pounds per punch.”

“Really?”

Jenny positioned herself. She moved her hand slowly up and down, fighting her mark on the block. Then she screamed and jumped up, bringing her fist down on the block. The concrete ruptured under the force of her blow, becoming smaller chunks. She stopped when she had punched cleaned through them. One of the judges came over and looked at it. Jenny stood back, panting. The judge then turned toward his co-judges and gave them a thumb’s up. “She has punched threw all four cinder blocks!” the announcer cheered over the loud speaker.

Jack and Sarah jumped up clapping. Jenny smiled, closing her eyes, trying to refrain from her excitement. She walked over to the judges station and did her formal bow to her superiors. Then as she walked back toward the stages, she saw her sister and her husband waving at her, full of smiles. She smirked, waving to them.

Jenny made her way through the crowd where Jack and Sarah was waiting for her. She quickly ran to her sister, embracing her. Sarah kissed her on the head, then gasped the gold medal around her neck. “What did you think?” she smiled.

“You were awesome, Jen.” Sarah smiled proudly at her.

“Yes, that . . .that was amazing,” Jack smirked, “You deserve that award.”

“Thanks, Jack,” Jenny smiled, “So we going out to eat, right?”

“You bet,” Sarah winked, “Go get cleaned up and Sam’s Seafood Buffet is waiting.”

“Sweet,” she said,” Don’t leave without me.”

“We’ll be right here, now go get cleaned up,” her sister giggled.

“I promise we won’t leave without you, mei-mei.” The doctor smiled.

Jenny’s eye went wide looking at him. Then she smiled and walked up to him, hugging him. Jack smiled, rubbing her on the head. The young teenager then ran back to the locker room as fast as she could. Sarah playfully punched him on the arm. “What did you just call her?” she smirked.

Mei-Mei,” Jack blushed, “It’s a Chinese slang term, it means little sister. I overheard my coworker Dr. Hikauto call one of his close interns that.”

“Jack, that is really sweet,” his wife, hugged his arm.

“Hey, I am apart of your life and I know how much Jenny means to you,” the doctor pointed, “I wanted to make an effort for her to like me.”

“Well,” Sarah kissed him, “I think you are off to a great start.”

……………………………………………………..

Jack slowly woke up, feeling a rush of air hit his brain. As it turns out, it was Jenny who was calling his name. She was standing behind Texas and she was calling to her new friend Raven. The masked man then leaped up, with his nunchuk’s coupled together.

Texas dropped Jack as the Jaeger slammed his weapon on the top of the giant’s head, making a small spray of blood fly into the air. Texas then grabbed Raven by the leg and began to twirl in the air like a rag doll. Then he flung him away, screaming. Raven landed hard on the ground and could not stop his momentum. He grabbed onto the dirt and made a scraping sound as he plummeted into the silo. “RAVEN!” Jenny screamed.

She heard a chirp and a loud metal scrapping sound as her new friend disappeared from sight. Jenny turned toward Texas, who panted; looking at her. The young teenager stayed in fighting stance, waiting for him to approach her. The giant rubbed his head where Raven hurt him and then turned around, walking back to finish off Jack. It wasn’t that thought which made Jenny mad; it was the fact that he just ignored her. Like she was nothing. She started to pant, foaming at the mouth. She realized at that moment, Raven had left an opening for her.

The wound on Texas’s head.

Jenny then ran toward him and then in one fluid motion, leaped up and landed on his shoulders. The moment she got up there, she slammed her right elbow in the top of Texas’s head, spraying blood into the air. The giant screamed as he tried to grab her but she flipped and landed perfectly in front of him and Jack. The albino screamed, as he felt of his top of his head. Blood was then streaming down his face. “Oh, I’m sorry,” Jenny hissed, “Did that hurt?”

Texas grunted as he stared at her.

“Let’s get one thing straight, mongoloid!” she nearly growled, “You can beat me, you can probably kill but you WILL NOT IGNORE ME!”

Texas howled like a monster as he ran toward her. Jenny then ran to meet him and then flung up, slamming both her knees into his chest. Texas coughed as she flew from him. Jenny then jumped up again, slamming both of her feet in his back. The giant finally toppled over. The young teenager ran toward him and then leaped up again, bringing her fist down in the same way she was taught to destroy cinder blocks. Except this time it was Texas’s right shoulder blade.

The albino monster screamed as he felt some kind of bone break in his shoulder. He then thrust his fist up, smacking Jenny in the side of her head. She rolled with the blow, and got up, already feeling the gash form in her temple. Before she could react, Texas ran toward her, picked her up and both of them plowed into a nearby cabin. The door caved in under his weight. Jenny was thrown to the side as Texas howled. She quickly wiped the blood from her eyes and took advantage of the situation. Texas had a good three feet height on her.

She quickly leaped onto a table and then punched him. Texas grunted from the blood filling his mouth. She quickly blocked up his arm and punched him again. Then he grabbed her and flung her again, this time through the other door. Jenny screamed in agony from the pain of her back, hitting the door. As she and the door landed, she hit a dead body of a soldier. She backflipped out and saw Texas running toward her. Then she quickly used the dead soldier as a brace, jumped onto the one end of the door. As she did, the opposite end shot up and rammed the approaching Texas in his genitals.

Texas gasped like he emptied the entire air contents of his lungs, holding his private area. Jenny then ran away from him and he screamed, running after her. She ran toward a building that had a giant pipe in the middle coming out into the ground. Jenny flew toward the pipe and leaned leap frogged it. As she hoped, Texas was not able to move fast enough. The large man screamed as he hit the pipe so hard, he ruptured it. The albino rolled onto the ground as water began to shoot up into the air.

Texas stood up, gritting his teeth in pain. His left arm was cut severely. The giant then turned and ran into the building. Jenny ran after him, knowing she had to finish this. The teenager jolted into door and blinked; realizing she was in some kind of freezer area. Texas grabbed a box of something and threw it at her. She quickly ducked; missing her. He grabbed another box and threw it at her. That time she flung up her elbow and blocked it, shattering on impact. Texas was getting frustrated; he had killed many men for less.

He then ran toward the back. Jenny was in quick pursuit. Then she gulped as she stopped abruptly, seeing the monster of a man pickup a large chuck of ice. Texas turned around and screamed at the top of his lungs, throwing the block of frozen water right at her. Jenny didn’t have time to move. She quickly screamed and punched the ice, shattering in into a million cubes. Texas yelled again, picking up a second block of ice and hurling at her. The young girl then flung up her other hands and smashed the ice, sending all the blocks across her. The paint on her hands was unimaginable but she fought through it to defeat the monster before her.

Jenny ran toward him but this time he grabbed her first. He then thrust his leg up into her sternum, knocking the breath out of her. Then he pressed a button on a nearby wall and a platform slowly came down. Jenny then bit into his leg; making him scream. He then slammed his elbow on her back, making her jolt toward the floor. Then he grabbed her by the shirt and threw her outside. The teenager flayed a little while she landed into the water puddle created by the ruptured water pipe. Within a few second, Texas jumped and landed in the water with her. He then quickly lowered his leg, pinning her under water with his knee.

Jack slowly leaned up, and saw what was happening. The monster man was drowning Jenny in a puddle. The little girl flayed her arms and legs trying to fight but his weight was too much. The doctor then gasped as Jenny wasn’t moving anymore. Tears began to flow from his eyes as Texas stood up. Jack then flipped and grabbed a metal rod. Of all the people who deserved to get off the island and resumed their normal lives, it was Jenny. Jack slowly stood up, fighting the pain coursing through his body. He didn’t know if Jenny was alive or dead but he wasn’t going to lay down while it happened.

Texas then stood up, wiping the blood from his chin. He looked across the way and saw Jack sliding the pipe toward him. The giant laughed as Jack was ready to go another round with him. Texas began to walk toward him; then he screamed as he fell backwards. Jack gasped as Jenny stood up with gritted teeth and her wet hair matted over her face. Then she screamed, flipping back and ramming her felt on each side of Texas’s neck. Jenny screamed one last time, as she twisted her legs violently, breaking the large man’s neck.

The teenager coughed small amounts of blood. She looked down at the albino as he coughed up water, unable to move. Jenny looked at his arms as they convulsed. She did it; she paralyzed him. The blonde teenager then moved her hair from her eyes and then placed her foot on Texas’s forehead. She gritted her teeth as she shoved him below the water. Massive bubbles were popping where his mouth would be. His hands continued to convulse and after a few minutes, he stopped moving all together. Jenny let up her foot and began to walk away, leaving the monster man in the puddle.

She held onto her stomach. Every fiber of her being ached. It was an ache she was thankful for; it told her she was alive. Jack dropped the piped and collapsed on his knees. Jenny walked over to him and felt into his lap. Jack hugged as she nearly fainted on him. “I never doubted you for a second,” he coughed.

“Yes, you did,” Jenny giggled, and then coughed.

“I’m glad you made it, mei-mei.” He said, holding onto her.

Jenny slowly moved away from him. She looked up at him with tears forming in her eyes, around the blood haze. “Mei-mei,” she sniffed, “You haven’t called me that . . .since I was a kid.”

Jack did his familiar smile that Jenny always loved. “You are my little sister, aren’t you?” he grinned.

Jenny smiled, embracing him again. She hated him a few months ago and was thrilled to have their old camaraderie back again. Jack was the best. He’d made some mistakes in his life and she had forgiven him for it. Jenny kissed him on the cheek and rested her head on his shoulder. Then her eyes lit up as she saw her masked friend crawling out of the silo. “RAVEN!” she laughed.

The super soldier grunted as he got up on the ground. He flung his knifes to the side, ruined as he used them to pierce the metal and climb up. Jenny ran toward him as Jack limped to follow. Jenny kneeled down toward Raven, smiling over that he was alive. The masked man then looked in the distance at the dead body of Texas. Abruptly, he pointed toward Jenny then to Texas. “Yeah, “ she smiled, “I did it.”

Raven chirped and then stood up, brushing the dirt off of his pants. Jenny stood up with him, looking at him. The masked warrior then cupped his hands together and gave Jenny a formal bow. The young blonde smiled brightly despite her face hurting. She then cupped her hands together and returned the formal bow; a sign of respect.

Warrior to warrior.
