Part 253: Day 50

Seth tucked his head under the waterfall. It wasn’t a warm shower but it was the closest thing. He didn’t have the chance to use one of the showers back at the Outpost, but then again, he didn’t really feeling like going back. The young man reached over and picked up the bottle of shampoo, then dipped some onto his hair. He started to sing Magic Carpet Ride as he washed his hair. He closed his eyes and then dunked his hair into the water, letting the suds flow off of him. He then slung back his hair and rubbed the water out of his eyes.

He nearly screamed when he saw Kate standing a good four feet away from him.

The brunette had let her body get soaked by the water. She was leaning up against the rock face, rubbing her chest. Seth quickly noticed that she wasn’t wearing anything but a white tank top and black panties. “Uh . . Kate?” he said, starting to tremble, “What are you doing?”

“I didn’t want to be alone.” She whispered.

“Uh . . .uh . . .you didn’t . . .want to be alone . . .taking a bath?” Seth was trying to comprehend what she meant.

“Kinda.” She said, edging closer to him.

Seth slowly stepped back. “Why are you backing away?” the brunette questioned, “Don’t you think I am pretty?”

“I think you are very pretty Kate but I don’t think we should-“

“Why not?” she said, getting closer.

“Because of Tanya, for one.”

Kate then grabbed him by the arms and thrust him directly toward her. “Tanya isn’t here!” she grunted, then kissed his chin, “I am.”

“Oh, God,” he said, feeling her gentle touches.

Kate continued to kiss him all over his neck. “You have to give it to me, Seth,” she whispered.

“Uh . . .uh . . .give you what, exactly?” he said, starting to tremble.

“Sawyer won’t give it to me. Jack is playing hard to get. Sayid has Shannon, Tony has Marita. I can’t even get near John or Hal now. It’s just you and me, beefy cakes.”

“Oh, man,” Seth closed his eyes, feeling the goose bumps flood his lower back.

“Please, Seth. Please . . .take me.”

Seth then grabbed her and kissed her roughly. Kate fought on, rubbing his wet hair. The young musician then grabbed her by the buttocks and pulled her forward. Then he lifted her up and mounted her against the wall. Kate dove her tongue into his mouth, starting to claw at his back. Then the brunette gently suckled his ear, making the singer roll the eyes into the back of his head.

Then she quickly got down and grabbed his shorts, shoving them off.

Seth grunted as he twisted awake. He coughed, feeling a small amount of mucus in his throat which he quickly coughed up. The young singer then also had to adjust his pants below his waist-line, as he hurt himself twisting over. He leaned up, grunting from the pain. The dream still rocked his memory; sending his heart raising and his blood on the rise. Most everybody was still asleep. He then stood up and began walking toward the ocean.

The sun was just peaking over the horizon, as it was mostly gray light. Seth’s teeth started to chatter from the cool wind but that still stop him. He knew he needed to be in the ocean. “I’m sorry baby,” he said, speaking to the wind and hoping Tanya could hear him, “I am so sorry. I’ve been away from you too long. It’s difficult but I won’t buckle. I won’t give in. I won’t give in.”

Seth then grunted again as the cold water rushed into his pants. He held his arms close as he kept walking, and wasn’t planning on stopping till he had submerged everything from his belt below in cold water.

Mia sighed, as she turned over and rested her head on John’s sleeping chest. The archer breathed and kissed her on the forehead before drifting off. The Lakota girl sighed; enjoying the warmth of her boyfriend. She longed for the time when she could enjoy it all the time, back in the real world. She was getting more and more home sick as the days went by and she was certain she was not alone. The sun wasn’t quite up yet but it would be in the next few minutes.

Mia leaned up, pushing her hair out of her face. She thought she would have some Cheerios this particular morning but she would have to eat them plain, as they couldn’t bring back the small amounts of milk that the Liberation had her in their freezers. She looked at the sleeping Tent City and then as she scanned the beach, she found one person out in the water, chest deep. She moved her hair out of the way to take another look. She recognized the head of her good friend Seth. “What the hell?” she asked.

She then reached over and quickly grabbed a blanket. She stood up and then ran down toward the beach area where her friend was submerged in the water. “SETH!!!” she screamed.

“WHAT???” he replied back.

“What are you doing?” she asked, “That water is probably freezing at this time of day, you need to get out!”

“It is freezing!” he grunted, “THAT’S THE DAMN POINT!!!”

“What?” Mia wondered.

“Never mind,” the young bookstore worker sighed, “I think I am done.”

Seth then turned around and began to wade back to dry land. Mia looked at him, amazed that he had bothered to place on pants. The water soaked clothes would have only made him colder. His teeth were chattering like a type writer when he stepped out. Mia quickly wrapped the blanket around him as he collapsed onto the sand. “Seth, are you okay?” she asked.

“N-n-n-n-n-n-n-o, M-m-m-Mia,” he said, shivering, “I am . . .p-p-p-pretty frigging far from okay.”

“Seth, why would you do something like that?”

“Cause I ain’t got . . .any cold showers around.” He said, holding the blanket close.

“What?” Mia asked.

“I know you got John to be here with you, Mia. I am happy for you, I am, really. However, there are days when I am jealous as hell.”

“Oh, Seth,” she said, “ You are missing Tanya?”

“Immensely,” he coughed, “You know how long I’ve gone without seeing my babydoll?”

“How long?”

“8 days.” He said, partly laughing and partly crying, “I’ve only gone as long as 8 days without either seeing her or hearing her voice over the phone. So far I think I’ve been handling it pretty well but now, I think I am starting to collapse. But I have to remain true to her.”

“I know you do, Seth and I admire you for it.”

“I had . . .one HELL of a dream though.”

“One that required you to take a dip into the cold ocean?”

“Yes.”

“Oh.” Mia slightly smirked, trying not to laugh.

“It’s not funny, Mia.”

“You got to learn to laugh at these sort of things, Seth. Take it all in stride.”

“Easy for you to say.”

“Seth, this dream . . .was it about . . .you and Me?”

“WHAT?” he gasped, “OH, HELL NO! If I ever . . .dreamed about you and me, I would feel sick cause it would feel too much like . . .incense.”

“You’re probably right,” she said, then touching his shoulder, “You gonna be okay?”

“Sure, I just need to get warm and I will lay here on the beach for a while.”

“Okay then, “ she said, kissing him on the cheek,” I will check on you later.”

“If you must.” He replied, remembering her role of the mother hen of their group.

Mia began her walk back toward the tents. Seth huddled together under his blanket as the water crashing into the wet sand in front of him. He slowly looked up to the sky and for a brief moment he thought he could see Tanya’s face. “Huh.” He said, mater-of-factly.

Seth slowly opened his eyes. He did indeed finally feel warm; the sun had reached it’s point high above him. The young musician then opened his eyes and looked to the right. The sound of laughter had caught his attention. Eddie was building a sandcastle nearby. The little boy waved to his friend as he continued to build it. “I found another pail, Eddie.” Jilly said.

Seth then saw Jilly coming to help the little boy build his sandcastle. She then got down on her knees to help him, inadvertently sticking her butt near Seth’s direction. The young singer gulped, seeing the contours of her rear slightly sticking out from her shorts. He quickly turned around and got up, walking the other way. “Hey, Seth,” Eddie called, “You want to help us build our sandcastle?”

“Not really.” He muttered as he kept walking.

As Seth slowly put down the blanket, he started to wipe the excess sand off of his body. He kept walking then froze, as he looked to his left. Taylor, Shannon and Mandy were lying on blankets and beach towels, sunbathing. The young singer felt the air leave his lungs when he saw Shannon was in a bathing suit and the two So-Cal Co-Eds were in suits, minus their tops. Mandy then leaned up and smiled at her friend’s presence. “Hey, Seth!” she called, “Can you come and rub some lotion on our backs?”

Seth felt his hands go cold. Did she just say Our Backs? “Uh, Naw, I am . .kinda busy.” He said, starting to walk away.

“Busy with what?” Mandy called back.

“STUFF!!!” he screamed, as he ran into the jungle.

“What’s wrong with Seth?” asked Shannon.

“I don’t know.” Mandy said, honestly.

Seth jogged for a brief time and then stopped, catching his breath. He then froze when he heard someone singing a soft tune. He slowly leaned up and looked to see Barbara in the distance, giving herself a sponge bath. She didn’t notice the young man cause she had her back to him. Seth, however, quickly noticed the white lace panties she was wearing. He grunted, turning and slapping his hand over his hands; walking back into the jungle. “That’s Eddie’s Mom, you jackass.” He whispered to him.

Seth walked a few more feet through the jungle and then finally arrived back at the beach. Then by mistake he had wound up at Hal’s tent, where Libby and Karleigh were. His face twitched when he noticed Libby was giving the rich girl a massage and Karleigh wasn’t wearing any shirt, nor bra. The therapist smiled, noticing the young man’s presence. “Hello, Seth, “ she smiled, “How are you?”

“Hehheheheheh,” he stuttered.

“I’m sorry?” she blinked.

Seth then said nothing and turned toward his right, running back into the woods. Karleigh then got up from her relaxation, holding her shirt over her breasts. “Who was that?” she asked.

“YYYYYAAAAAAAAAARRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!” Seth screamed in the distance.

Karleigh looked alarmed. Libby took a deep sigh, rubbing her hands on a towel. “He’s a good young man,” she said, “But something tells me he’s gonna have to be my first official patient.”
