Part 69: Love is In The Air
Marita dumped the coconut onto the blanket, and then paused, wiping her sweat. She was growing more and more worried. It had only been 11 days and the food was becoming scarce. She had taken it upon herself to gather as many coconuts as she could find. She gently took off the blue cloth she wrapped her hair and dabbed the sweat off her brow. “Marita?” Tony called.
“Tony!” she smiled, “Over here.”
The blind doctor felt of his way around the trees and the dried grass to the sound of his love. He smiled when he realized he was near here. “Yolanda said you’d be out this way.” He whispered.
“Yeah, I was. .uh . .gathering coconuts. It doesn’t seem like there are many out there.”
“Yeah, I was afraid we were starting to run out.” Tony sighed.
“We might have to go deeper into the jungle but with all that talk about these others out there, a lot of us are afraid to go.” Marita whispered.
“It’s just rumors. There is indeed someone out there but we don’t know what is up with them just yet. There is no reason to be afraid.”
“Not yet.” She said, coldly.
Tony edged closer. He paused, holding his cane. “Marita, are you upset with me?” he asked.
“Huh?” she blinked, “Why would I be?”
“Because Mia wanted to discuss something with me privately?”
“Oh, Tony,” she giggled, “I am not jealous. Honestly, I have no reason to be.”
Tony slowly walked closer, “Very true. You have no reason to be jealous of anyone. Especially when I will remind you how serious I am for you to come live with me.”
“Tony, you already know I plan on doing that.” She giggled.
“Good,” Tony edged even closer, “Then I don’t want to hear anymore about jealous glances, okay?”
“Okay,” she smiled, walking up and embracing him.
Marita then froze as her nose was blanketed by a familiar scent. She leaned in and smelled over Tony’s neck. The Latina couldn’t stop blinking at the Stetson smell that the blind doctor was giving off. She immediately held her chest, feeling her heart race. “Oh, Tony,” she gasped, “You . .you didn’t . . “
“Merry Christmas, Sugar Pie,” he said, with a massive grin.
Marita then grabbed him, planting an immense kiss onto him. Tony then felt his heart race as she started to kiss him all over his neck. He was even thrown back a little as she grabbed onto his shoulder and quickly mounted him. Tony then kissed her in return, feeling his tongue invade her mouth. He held her lower back, bringing her closer to him. He was still a little sad he couldn’t see her but certain things didn’t need eyesight. The Latina grabbed his hair, pulling her down to him, and almost sucking the breath out of him. “Oh, God, Tony,” she moaned, “I want you so bad.”
“Oh, baby,” he exhaled deeply.
Marita stopped kissing him long enough to catch her breath. She leaned into him, as he held onto her. As she tried to keep from hyperventilating, he gently kissed her forehead, stroking her shoulders. The Latina stewardess then looked around, and licked her lips as she caught her breath. “Tony,” she breathed, “We’re alone.”
Tony said nothing. It was painfully obvious why she would mention such a thing. She then took his hand, making him drop his cane. “C’mere,” she whispered.
Tony just smiled as he felt her leading him deeper into a crop of bushes.

Down on the beach, most everybody was munching on what they used for supper. Taylor sipped on her water bottle, standing near the beach where the water met the land. The sun was already starting to begin it’s descent into the horizon. The young blonde wondered what her family was thinking. She had been trapped here for 11 days. Did they think she was dead? Did they expect she’d be rescued? Were they clinging to hope? She didn’t know but the thought of what they might be going through was still enough to bring tears to her eyes. As she wiped her right eye, she felt a gentle set of hands place a blanket around her. “You looked cold.” McKay whispered.
“I was, a little,” she said, pulling the blanket tighter, “Thank you.”
“Always,” he smiled.
Taylor looked up at the Australian. He stared down at her with his soft amber eyes. Before he could say anything, she immediately stepped forward and embraced him. McKay was a little shocked at the blunt display of affection but he didn’t mind. He held her close, feeling her weep a little. “What’s wrong?” he asked.
“I was thinking of . .my mom and my dad.” She wept, “What they are going through, thinking their daughter is dead.”
“I understand what you mean, “McKay whispered, “I was wondering the same thing about me brother. I hope he doesn’t feel guilt for asking me to come see him and then me, supposedly dying in a plane crash.”
Taylor then gently parted from him. He still gave her his comforting smile, gently rubbing her back. As she wiped the remainder of her tears, she smiled at him. “I like you, McKay.” She grinned.
“Thank you,” he replied with his own grin, “I like you too.”
“Have you . . uh . .ever thought of moving to America?” she asked.
“Never really thought about it. But I might.”
“Might move?”
“Yes.”
“What’s stopping you?” Taylor asked.
“Two things. I kinda like Australia cause I was born there. And second, I might move . . .If I had a big enough reason to go.” He smirked.
She leaned forward, gently grabbing his shirt. “You think I might be a big enough reason?”
McKay smiled, gently running his fingers through her hair. “I think you’re the right size, yeah..”
She giggled, as she buried her head into his chest in embarrassment.. He laughed, patting her on the back. Then the outback guide was reminded of his former heartbreak. Even though he had learned Taylor had suffered a heartbreak of her own, he was still uncertain about getting involved with a girl younger than him. He didn’t want to make the same mistake twice. He massaged her shoulders, making her lean up to look at him. “Taylor, I have a serious question to ask you.” He whispered.
“Okay,” she replied, slightly afraid.
“How old are you?” he asked.
“I’m 26.” She replied truthfully.
McKay’s eyes went wide. He vowed never to date a girl below the age of 26 and she was right at the limit. He then looked skyward and smiled. “Thanks, Boss. I owe you one.”
McKay then grabbed Taylor and kissed her. She squeaked slightly at the abrupt affection but then moaned passionately as she held onto him. McKay moaned as she caressed his balding head, feeling her tongue do a dance inside her mouth. Taylor got even more excited, feeling him gently caress her lower back as he kissed her. The pair held each other in the sunset, enjoying their deep kiss.
Up on the beach, John blinked as he watched the whole display with is Australian friend and the young Californian. He then looked back at Mandy who saw the whole thing as well. She smiled a bright smile, giving John a thumbs up. The Archer just shrugged his head, silently chuckling about the whole thing. Then he stopped, feeling a hand touch his shoulder. The new arrival Jenny sat down next to him. “Hey, John, right?” she smiled.
“Yeah, Jenny, nice to finally meet you,” he said, shaking her hand, “How do you feel?”
“I am groggy as all get out but my headaches are finally over.” She smiled, “Even for a blind man, Tony is one hell of a doctor.”
“I have a feeling my friend will continue to impress us.” John smiled with pride.
“John, I wanted to thank you. They said it was your green case that helped save my life.” Jenny gently touched his arm.
“Oh, that. That was just the right thing at the right time, Jenny. It was pure coincidence.”
“You can believe that if you want to but I have never believed in coincidences. I believe everything happens for a reason. I could have grabbed other suitcases floating out there but I grabbed yours and it was able to keep me afloat. So again, thank you.”
“You’re welcome,” John smiled, seeing he wasn’t able to convince her otherwise.
Jenny then leaned over and kissed him. John’s eyes went wide at the touch of her soft lips upon his. As she leaned back, she gently stroked his cheek. “I owe you my life,” she whispered, “When you are ready to collect, let me know.”
Jenny then stood up and began to walk back to the tent, leaving John flabbergasted. It was mild hero worship, John thought. It was the only thing that made sense. Why else would Jenny make a pass at him? The archer ran his fingers through his hair at the thought of all the girl trouble he’s had recently. Yolanda acting like the jealous girlfriend when Natasha made a pass at him. Then the sultry brunette trying to entice him into sleeping with her. He wasn’t even about to deny his affections toward Mia. Then at that moment, Jenny took it upon herself to kiss him, thanking him for her life. The archer could only come to one conclusion why so many girls were hitting on him.
“Must be the bow,” he whispered to himself.
“Tony!” she smiled, “Over here.”
